Our vision is to open more beaches and playgrounds where our pets can enjoy the freedom they so badly need to run and play and frolic safely in the water and replacing so many areas that have disappeared where dogs used to be allowed off leash. The first steps have already been taken to open other beaches, and we will keep you informed of our progress in the What's New section of the website.

At the present time, there is some resistance, but with the proven systems we have installed at Huntington Dog Beach, we will achieve more playground areas. All entrances to dog beach are monitored by our representatives and working closely with Lifeguards and Law enforcement, undesirable dogs are discouraged from entering unless harnessed. In the past ten years, there has been no need for Animal Care to visit dog beach on a regular basis. Dog Beach has teams of cleaners working seven days a week and with sixty five dispensers over the mile and one quarter beach and using one million dog bags each year, and with the water being tested up to five times a week, dog beach is renowned as the cleanest beach in the twelve mile stretch of Huntington City Beaches! In addition, all members and their families enjoy the protection of a group insurance plan that covers medical expenses and also a one million dollar liability coverage. Come visit us and watch your pet play and enjoy the freedom they deserve in a safe and friendly environment.
